Dare//Impact Message

This week for Inquiry as a class we created our own poster to warn people of the Impact they will get when they drink and drive. I decide to work in partners and together we created a DLO about Drinking and Driving. Before we created this DLO a police officer named Constable Cyrus came to talk to us about what could happen when you drink to much and smoke to much and more stuff. After that we talked with our teacher about what we could write on our posters.

Thank you Constable Cyrus for joining us with our learning.

Then we had to rate ourselves of what you think of your own writing. I and my buddy showed honesty to each others work. So then I had to write down what I need to work on my buddy also had to write down how good I did and what I need to work on.

A boy on a bike

This week we were learning about a book named a boy on a bike. The book is about a boy and his dad that travels around New Zealand to raise money for the Saint John's company. The boys name was called Mac he wanted to ride around the North Island on his bike to make people know he is serious about raising money for the Saint John's so they can buy ambulances and other gear. Our task was to reflect where mac went to and what he did. I think he was so brave to stand up for the Saint Johns company to raise more money for the Saint John's company to get more ambulances and more gear.

Then we started talking about what we should say to people that is positive not mean or anything. Then we started talking about positive conversations. Then after that we played our last game of the day and we had to get into two teams and one team is attacking and one is defending to decide that we played rock paper scissors then after that the attacking team has to throw or kick the ball and if the defenses team catches it your out but if they front then they have to hit you with the ball if you make it to the end and your other teammate kicks the ball then you can run back.

Kiwi Sport//Ki O Rahi

This week we had Kiwi sport and we first started by changing into our PE Uniform then we started to play. So our Kiwi sport teacher first started by asking question like to know where the areas are then we started to play our games. We first started by playing a game in the game we had to get into a line then once we reached the front of the line then we had to kick the ball and the people in the middle would catch it then pass it to the other person in front of the line then the person in the middle has to get out of the circle and the person that just kicked the ball go's into the middle and try's to catch the ball. Then after that we played golden child but in a different way so there would be two teams and one of the teams would have to run and hit the pols and if they touch all pols and reach the middle then they pass it to the other person in front of the line, But the other teams had to throw a ball and if it hits the barrel in the middle then the person running has to stop once they hit the barrel then the last person running is golden child if he makes it home then everyone makes it home but if he or she doesn't then they lose.
