Dare//Impact Message

This week for Inquiry as a class we created our own poster to warn people of the Impact they will get when they drink and drive. I decide to work in partners and together we created a DLO about Drinking and Driving. Before we created this DLO a police officer named Constable Cyrus came to talk to us about what could happen when you drink to much and smoke to much and more stuff. After that we talked with our teacher about what we could write on our posters.

What is a Leader

 This week we've been learning about leadership. Marieta, Joel, Viliami, Miiana, Sakina and I worked together to create a DLO on what a leader is, what goals we have as leaders this year, what responsibilities we have as leaders this year and what makes a good leader. For what makes a good leader we wrote things like: Someone who can step down and let others have a turn, someone who can take the initiative and someone who can learn from both their mistakes and successes.

Role Model vs Hero/Similarities and Differences

This week Marieta,Miiana,Sakina,Alex and I worked together as a group to complete our inquiry task. So our task was to to create a DLO comparing and telling the differences between a role model and a hero we desided as a group to create a venn diagram. So the red side is where we compared a role model and a hero and the other side we wrote the differences between them two. 

Leadership

This week we've been learning about leadership. Miiana,Joel,Sakina,Marieta,Alex and I worked together to create a DLO on what a leader is, what goals we have as leaders this year, what responsibilities we have as leaders this year and what makes a good leader. Nelson Mandela// Presentation

LI: To learn about Nelson Mandela.
This week for inquiry we had to make a slide presentation and we had to pick a protester. My group picked Nelson Mandela because we think that he was a brave person to stand up for the black community also the other protesters like martin luther king Jr. So we had to find what was his hobby what did he like when was he born and where. So we had to find out what he was fighting for which was for the black community to be treated the same.

LI: To note down stuff that you have learned.

This week we had to create a google doc with notes about what we found out about Nelson Mandela.  We picked Nelson Mandela because most of the people in my group looked up to him for the great things he did. So we first started by finding websites with real information. It was hard because most of the websites I used were bad website with information they think it's true. After we found out stuff about Nelson Mandela we created a google doc with information about his life and the problems he fix. 

Peace

LI: To explain what Peace is.
This week were learning about peace so we first started by making a copy of the slide our teacher sent us then we had to get into groups of five I had a group of seven because two people were away and came late. Then after we got into groups we had to write words that are opposite to the same. So then we had to split our groups up and had to make a copy of the google slide our teacher sent us then we had to write down sentence about what was the person in the photo point of view then once we finished that we had to create a DLO with a explanation about what you think Peace is.

Trench Warfare

LI: To explain the event in World war one. 

This week we were learning about Trenches. So our task was to talk about the parts of the trench warfare. So we first started by talking about it to our teacher then we got back into our partners and then we had to watch videos and read stuff off websites once we did that we had to write more information on our text boxes we also had to talk about sickness and how it happened in trenchers. Once we talked about the parts in a trench we had to find a image the we could use and we had to write who it was taken by. 

Inquiry//World War One

LI: To learn about world war one's history.
This week we were working in the same partners and we had to find out about world war one weapons in the air,Sea and on land. We used websites to find out about the weapons and it was hard because some weapons were from world war two.
Then we had to work on a other slide and on that slide we had to answer the questions our teacher wrote for us the questions where hard because half of it I've never heard about. It was fun doing this task because I got to learn new things.

LI: To learn information about world war one and how it happened.

This week for inquiry we were learning about world war one again but this week we had to watch three videos before we start our task the video explains how world war one started and why it happened. After we watched all three our teacher shared us a google drawing showing writing on it we had to put that writing on the word were you think it suppose to be if your not sure what I am talking about its MAIN, MAIN stands for Militarism, Alliance,Imperialism and nationalism. We had to get the sentence on the google draw on the right place out of the words. After that below it we had to write what caused world war one.

International Structures

LI: To explain information about the buildings.
This week for inquiry we had to create a animation but I wasn't here when they taught it So I had to create a google maps showing famous Structures from country's. around the world. So I first used my researching skills to find out about different structures and find information about them. first we had to find a building that I know so well I picked the sky tower. After I put stuff I already knew about the sky tower I did some researching to find out more about it. So we had to do that over and over again but with different Buildings.

Bridges

LI: To Make a google maps with bridges around the world and New Zealand.
This week for inquiry we had to learn how to make something on the google maps. So we had to find bridges from around the world and right a description about it on google maps. So we had to at least have more then three bridges from new Zealand and more from around the world. So I did a bridge in Canda,China, United states, Italy, England, Australia and New Zealand. This task was amazing because we got to learn about famous bridges from around the world.

Inquiry//Bridges//This Vs That

LI: To learn the history of all bridges around the world.

This week for inquiry we learned about bridges in new Zealand and around the world. So we learned about them then we had to do a this vs that. If you didn't know what is this vs that its a document that has tasks to do in it. So in each this vs that sheet we had to chose a bridge from new Zealand and around the world. For our international bridge we did the golden gate bridge which is a very famous bridge. For the two new Zealand bridges we did the Auckland harbour bridge and the kawarou bridge. Me and my partner learned a lot in inquiry we learned about types of bridges and history of bridges around the world.

Panmure bridge history

LI: To learn about the history of panmure bridge.
This week for inquiry we learned about the history of panmure bridge. If you didn't know the panmure bridge was built six times. In the slide we had to do what the slide says because in the slide Mr Wong and Mr Ogilvie already put the activity we are suppose to do in the slide so we did it but first we had to read off a website that has the photo of all six panmure bridges. This task was enjoyably because we got to learn the history of panmure bridge.

Quiz

At the beginning of term two we learn about MRS Gren then on week two we had to get into groups and name our group our group name was the cobras. On week three we learned about the nervous system. On week four we learned about the digestive system and had to do tasks. On week five we did sensitivity it was very hard because we didn't understand it very well. On week six we learned about the Respiratory system which is how the air go's into the body. on week seven we did the Circulatory system and learned what it does. On week eight we did the animals circulatory system. On week nine we had to make a speech about MRS GREN and say it in front of the whole class. Lastly this week we did the quiz, In the quiz there are three things we had to do and it was to draw, Do a Sculpture and answer questions if we get the most points we basically win the quiz and know more about the systems, We can make questions that your group all ready knows about and put it into the quiz but you have to pay five credits to our teachers. My team came third place in the quiz. In each activity we did there was a timer but on the question one there was no timer.

MRS GREN

L.I is to make a slide of MRS GREN then make a video
This week for inquiry we had to make a speech to record or say it live to the classroom we chose to say it live. So in the google slide we had to write a speech in order about MRS GREN we had to chose a plant or a animal to talk about. We chose a plant and that was the Venus fly trap.

Circulatory system [Explanation]

LI: To describe the structures and respective functions in the human respiration system and circulatory system.

This week for inquiry we had to continue our work from last week. Mr Wong told us if we had finish our explanation from last week we had to write a other explanation about the circulatory system but the explanation will talk about the animals circulatory system. As you can see in my DLO you would see my explanation about the open circulatory system and the closed circulatory system. I explained how it works and I also explained about how the animals circulatory system works. So in the DLO I have a title, Introduction, Sentence and a solution.

LI: to describe the structures and respective functions in the human respiration system and circulatory system.

This week for inquiry I did a task for the circulatory system. My work is not that finished yet. So I did the explanation for my group. For the explanation I had to explain how the parts of the circulatory system works and how does the circulatory system work. I explained what the heart and the blood vessels do for the circulatory system and also I explained how does the circulatory system work. If you didn't know what does the circulatory system does it pumps out the blood around the hole body. So it starts with black blood then your black blood would go into your heart then your heart will turn the black blood to red blood and the heart pumps out the red blood all around the body.

Nurtrition

This week I mange to get my group four points for completing work. We got on to our elective task. In this activity we had to compare a humans digestive system to a animals digestive system. I picked a cow cause humans and cows have a lot of things different in there digestive system and also a lot things that are the same. I had to write what is different between a cow and a human in the digestive system and what is the same. I got my group five points but my group talked to loud and our teacher took one away. We had lots of work to show but half are not done.

Ls1 Olympics

On Thursday we had our LS1 Olympics. So we first started with a activity named stack attack we had to pick a person to play that activity and we picked sione T,We mange to come 3rd place on stack attack thanks to sione T. The person that was first place was sione T's sister, The next activity was a bit Dicey the person in my team that did that was Hosea he mange to put five on the stick but he drooped all the dices. The next activity was Back flip I was doing the activity and mange to get six but I was last. The next activity was this blows Lorenzo did the activity. He mange to get first place and a gold medal. The next activity was floatacous and I did the activity. It was hard because the water was moving a lot. The last activity was ready spaghetti it was for two people to do and it was Lorenzo and Hosea. They mange to get one can on the other table but the still didn't win.
