Math's game//Number Challanges

So this week we got to make our on maths game. So since it's nearly the end of term 2 we decide to gather up all our prior knowledge and make a maths game about different strategy's we did this term. So I decided to make a basic facts maths game so more people can get fluent with there basic facts. It was hard making a maths game because we had to link the right stuff to each other. So after I finished my game I added characters that I made and made it into a GIF. Then we would put it on the correct answer slide or the wrong answer slides. After that I let a few people play my game but my feedback was that my questions were to hard if you want to make people fluent with there basic facts. I didn't get time to fix it. Then we presented our maths games to the whole class and I also got the same feed back so I fixed my maths game and made it better. I felt such a relief to finally finish my game

Rhythm Interative's vist to PBS

This week the whole school was visited by Rhythm Interactive. We had a instructor and his name was Johnny he played a beat on the Djembe and we would copy him. He also said that if you can say you can drum it. If you are wondering what a Djembe is its African drums. So Johnny started by just playing beats on the Djembe and we would copy the beat but then we listen to the pattern and the rhythm of the beat then we would do it in steps and it made us know how to play the beat off our her hearts. My class helped new students to our school play the Djembe because some of them were nervous. I enjoyed it at the show because it helped learn something new and it was fun.

Kokako Lodge//Siri

Today, we have been given a challenge for writing by our teacher Mrs Anderson. Our challenge was to write in exactly 50 words, a response that Siri (An automated program on Apple devices) would give us if we asked it "Why Kokako Lodge is the greatest place to take year 7 and 8's on camp?" Although Mrs Anderson wanted to make this more of a challenge. So what we could do is gain points by using different Language features that would give us 5 points each. If every feature was used, then you could gain a total of 40 points. Although for another 5 points, you needed to make sure that everyone in your group was working together, and that a learning conversation was taking place. If you had exactly 50 words, and you used different references, you could even have 100 points total! Once you finished writing, you needed to digitally create a Siri conversation showing Siri's answer. The final step was to create a Screencastify that had us voicing over the whole conversation. For this activity, I worked with Julian, Alex, and Jack. We had a lot of fun, and enjoyed recording the most.
