Agent of Change

Today my task was to create a google drawing about my learning goals and my agent of change. Agent of change is someone that changes a problem into a changing opportunities. One of my learning goals was to become a student leader and set a example to the kids. I also want to be confident enough to share my ideas with my group even when I think it's wrong. 

Self and Buddy Evaluation

This week for writing we got into partners and then we had to read each others recount then we had to rate each others recount. We had to use a google slide to read what level they are on. Then we had to rate ourselves of what you think of your own writing. I and my buddy showed honesty to each others work. So then I had to write down what I need to work on my buddy also had to write down how good I did and what I need to work on. 

Sketchnote

LI: To create a sketchnote that shows your understanding. 

This week Giovanni and I created a sketchnote on our computer. We first started by creating a sketchnote on a piece of paper then we did speed dating, So we turn speed dating to a learning thing by talking to each other then after that we moved to a other person to talk to about the sketch note then we did it on digital and this is what it turned up as.

Twas The night before Christmas// Rhyme

LI: To understand Rhyme.

This week for writing we had to make a google doc with a rhyme in it. So we first started by watching twas the night before Christmas rhyme then we had to make a google document and create our own Rhyme with the same topic. So I first thought about what are things people do in Christmas then I wrote it in Rhymes and the last words of the sentence had to Rhyme with the last words of the other sentence. So I used word's like Singing and Blinging. It was hard because you don't know how you would Rhyme that word and what it Rhymes with.

This week for writing we were learning how to understand a conflict from a fiction text or movie. So on Monday we were watching a movie and taking notes on our plot diagram at the same time as watching the movie then on Tuesday we watched the full movie and mange to complete our plot diagram. Then we had to make a copy of the google drawing our teacher sent us and right down two what was the conflict character vs character or character vs nature.  Then after we found out what the conflict was then we had right down how it's that. Then we had to write down how would the story change if the movie happened a different way.

This week for writing we were learning about conflict. So we first started by siting on the mat and started listening to our teacher when he was reading the book. Then after that he asked us what was the conflict and what happened in the book then we went on our plot diagram and started to right down the Beginning,Rising action,Climax,Falling action and Resolution. So after we finished our plot diagram we had to go on the google draw our teacher sent us and write down what was the conflict about like was it a character vs self or character vs Society.

This week for writing our task was to make a copy of the plot diagram our teacher created and then read the book named the Lorax. We first started by reading the book named the Lorax then we had to make a copy of the plot diagram our teacher sent us and right about the beginning of the story to the end like right how the story started, What were the events and how the story ended. So we had to write about the story but then we re read the story to correct our work and to see if your correct. Then we went on a other go drawing to explain what was the conflict. We also had to write what the conflict was like was it a character vs character or character vs nature. 

Recount Check//Writing

LI: Recap on structure and language features of written texts.
On Thursday afternoon Mr Ogilvie's writing group used the recount they did on Monday for our test to show what the word tree impact on our writing. So we first started by sitting on the floor and listen to what our teacher says he told us to use the writing that we wrote on Monday and explain what's the great stuff that you put in the recount he also said that words like after, later and next have to be highlighted in blue and your great vocab has to be in green and lastly your punctuation has to be in red.


Next after he sent us off to do our work, When I was doing my work I started by explaining how I know that the title is a title and others. Then I started to high lighting the words in blue after I finished that I then used green highlighter to highlight my great vocab after that I was on my finale task and that was to highlight my punctuation's in red.

After that I re checked my my work to see if I was right but there was a few mistakes and I fixed Them and also if you didn't know what Tree stands for it stands for tittle,Reveal,Events and ending. When I finished I felt refiled that I mange to complete my task.

Text Types

LI: Recap on structure and language features of written texts.

This week for writing we learn about different text types. In this task we had to remember stuff that we already learn before. So in this task we had to make a copy of a slide our teacher sent us and in the slide we had to put the words into the right page. Well you first had to check if you were right or wrong once you asked if you were correct then you had to right reason why it should be there for a example in the recount area there is a word people use and that is TREE, TREE Stands for Title,Reveal,Events and ending. After that we had to make a line were in the text its suppose to be. Also we had diffent types of text one was a producer one was a recount and lastly one was a explanation/Information report. Also before we did the text types we got into partners and got shared a google document with writing and we had to say what the text are we also had to fix the mistakes. 

Giving Reason

LI: to identify the structer and the language features of procedural text.   

This week for writing we had to go on websites and take a screen shot of the writing and explain what it is. We had to make this on a google draw. So when you took a screen shot of a title then you have to create a text box beside it explain how you know its a tittle.

This week for writing we had to create a google drawing explaining what a third person view is and what are verbs and lastly what does present tense mean after we wrote the meaning we had to add photos that link to the word.

Story

LI: To write a story about the charters you picked.

This week for writing we had to add up all the learning we did last week and make a narrative about it. So before we did this narrative we planed about it. On the first week we planed whats gonna happen in the story then on the second week we had to plan about the charters on the third week we had to talk about the setting and our fourth week we learned more about a story.   

Descriptive Writing

LI: To know how to write a description. 

This week for writing we were learning how to write a description. So we had to copy and paste the words on our charter slide and the setting slide and put it on a google drawing then we had to make a more complexes sentence about our charter. We had to add smiles,Metaphors, Understatement, Hyperbole and more.

Describing Characters

LI:To Plan a Narrative.
This week for writing we had to plan or Describe how the characters we picked from last week looks like. So we first started by planing our story and who our charters was last week then this week we had to explain how they look like and what is there personalty is like. If you have five characters then you have to make a copy of five slides and explain how those five characters look like and how there personalty is like.

This week for writing we first started by planing our narrative with your group then we had two make a copy of the google drawing Mr Ogilve gave two us and plan how our story is gonna be like but the problem and the restitution in the story has two be the same as the problem and restitution we thought as in a group.

This week for writing we first started by planing a Narrative we had to use the charters and the setting from last week and make Narrative with the charters apart of the story. Then when we showed our plan to Mr Ogilvie we had to create a google document and write the Narrative on it and talk about the events that happened and how the story gets solved.

Character/ T-Chart/ Brendon Urie

LI: To use figurative language to describe a charter. 

This week for writing we were learning about figurative language. We had to make a google draw and make a T-Chart about you describing the person you chose to describe. On a T-Chart you have to basically create a T and write the difference between the charter or something. I did my boring describing on one side and the interesting describing on the other side. I did the Singer named Brendon Urie.

What does synonym mean?

LI: To build a vocabulary.
This week for writing we were learning about synonym. We first had to understand what synonym means then we had to make a google slide with the meaning of synonym and examples of it. Synonym is words that are spelt differently but has the same meaning like Friend and mate. We had to make three or more google slides writing down words that mean the same.

Acrostic Poem

LI: What are the different types of poetry.
This week for writing we were learning about types of poems. As you can see in my slide show we had to start a sentence with our name and tell the audience something about you. So in the second slide I wrote a simple sentence and on the third slide I wrote like a more of a detailed sentence. 

Explanation about rugby league safety

LI: To Learn and plan how to write a explanation.

This week for writing we had to write our own explanation. We first had to plan about what we will write about. I decide to write about rugby league safety. I explain why we need safety gear for rugby and also talked about what they are made out of. If you play rugby I prefer you should wear the safety gear our you might get injuries.
