World War 1 Interactive Notebook

LI: To learn about WW1.
This week for inquiry we learned about world war one. So we first started by making a copy of the google side our teacher sent us then we had to complete the task in the slides. Then we had to read a whole sentence and put the things that happened in world war one in order of dates after that we had to search up the meaning of the teams and things that happened in world war one for a example the Zimmerman telegram it was a message sent by Germany to there ambassador in mexico. It was fun cause we got to learn more about world war one.

Tunnels

LI: To explain what are tunnels.
This week for inquiry we had to make a DLO Explaining what tunnels means. So we had to choose to make our DLO on a google slide or a google drawing I picked a google slide because it has more space. Then we used websites to get information from it.

Building a Road

LI: To build a Construction. 

This week for inquiry we had to make a road that will keep the small toy cars on the road. So we first had to get into groups then we had to build a road but I wasn't with my group cause I was busy helping making the layout for the road.  The layout wasn't that straight but it still worked. Most of us didn't succeed but some did. 

Pedestrian, Traffic lights and Roundabouts

LI:To learn more about traffic lights,pedestrians and roundabouts.
This week for inquiry we had to find information about the three things we have learned about. So I did the traffic light in my writing I wrote who invented the traffic light and the traffic signal and I even explained about why the traffic lights was made and what it means.

Compulsory task

Today we did 1 of our compulsory tasks which was the word Ring. for the word ring we had to write words in the digestive system into the word ring and put which is in which and closest to the heart. For the bottom we had the words: Mouth and Stomach. Next ring we have the words: Esophagus, Rectum, Gallbladder and the Liver. Next Ring we have the words: Pharynx and appendix. And the front top ring we have the words: Blood, salivary glads, spleen and the pancreas.

Today we finished our 2nd compulsory task which was the Picture / Poster. Leroy drew this cool picture of the digestive system and what is in it. In the digestive system drawing we have: Mouth, Esophagus, Stomach and other words. He has drew lines to the picture of each word of the picture from the part of the digestive system. He had 8 parts in his digestive system drawing.

For the 3rd compulsory task we had to write an explanation for any type of digestive system. For our digestive system I had an Earthworms digestive system. We have the: Mouth, Pharynx, Esophagus, Crop, Gizzard, Intestine and lastly the Anus those are the 7 parts of an Earthworms digestive system.

Today We had finished our last Compulsory task. It was to do the slide presentation. We had done: Large intestine, Small intestine, Stomach, Liver and the Esophagus. We had to find what they are and what do they do. We also had images of those body parts from the digestive system. We had a decent amount of work done for this task. The hard part of the digestive system to enplane is the Stomach because I know about all the other digestive system parts but stomach sounds like an easy part to explain but its because we have to explain what the stomach is and what the stomach dose.

Commonwealth games Poster/ (SSKS)

   LI: To make a poster about the commonwealth games.

This week for inquiry we had to make a poster about the commonwealth games. Mr Wong and Mr Ogilvie asked questions on our slide and we had to answer them on a poster about the common wealth games. In question number six Mr wong and Mr ogilvie told us to find three NZ medalist with there time and distance of winning. We picked Sophie Pascoe,Sam Webster and Ethan Mitchell. If you look at the picture at the bottom They are the people we picked. We also put the stadium photo on there.

Olympics Logo/Olympics Name

LI: To Make a Olympic name and Logo for or Olympic challenges

Today For inquiry we had to make a Logo and name for or Olympics challenges, Or Group Name was SSKS which stands for Strength,Speed,Knowledge and Skill, Me and my group also made a logo which means" We don't just come from one Country we come from all around the world". It was a pleasure having my group cause they have a lot of talent and ability's. My group made this on a Google slide and used it to make this logo.

Andy Warhol Poster

LI: To use Different Techniques To create a visual art piece.
Today for Inquiry we had to make a poster of Andy Warhol. In the poster me and my group wrote about him and also wanted to know the answer of the questions we want to know about. I was so surprised how Andy Warhol is in men in black 3 well he died in 1987, Also Andy Warhol made a pop art of Michael Jackson and Marilyn Monroe which cost a lot of money. When I was trying to find facts of Andy Warhol I came over a fact that Andy Warhol was A fear of Hospitals and Doctors it was so surprising I was thinking hes a fear of spiders or other dangerous animals. So Andy Warhol was Born in 1928 in August 6th then died in 1987 By a irregular heartbeat.

This vs That

LI: To see what you know about.
Today for inquiry we did a activity named This vs That, In this activity we had to put what ever the word on top says on the box so the first thing we had to do is add the Olympics motto and the PBS motto The Olympic motto was citius, altius, fortius and the PBS motto was Strive and achieve. The Next thing I had to add was the Olympic creed and the PBS whakatauki the Olympic creed was The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well and the PBS whakatauki is care for the people care for the land and go forward. the next things we had to do is the Olympic flag and the pbs logo and you would see that in the DLO. The last thing we had to do is to add the Olympic values and the PBS value so the Olympic values is Friendship, Respect and Excellence – along with the four Paralympic values – Determination, Inspiration, Courage and Equality. The values underpin the Games as a set of universal principles, but they can be applied to education and our lives, as well as to sport itself. The PBS values is confident attitude respect excellent and invasion. My goal for inquiry is to become a successful learner.  

winter Olympics 2018

LI: to test your researching skills.
Today my group made a google drawing in this google drawing we had to answer the questions Mr Ogilvie and Mr Wong wanted us to answer the questions was about the 2018 Winter Olympics . or Teachers came up with very hard questions but we mange to answer them all the first question they asked us is to Provide a map where it is, we mange to find a map of south Korea and PyeongChang if you didn't know about it South Korea is where the winter Olympics is happening and  PyeongChang is where its happening. or second question was how far is new Zealand from south Korea or answer was 9551.31 km far. The 3rd 4th and 5th question will be on the DLO.

What did you learn? I learnt that technological system has a input and output for example. If I have a bread and I put it in the toaster then that is the input and when it comes out it is a toast and it’s the output.
