Math's game//Number Challanges

So this week we got to make our on maths game. So since it's nearly the end of term 2 we decide to gather up all our prior knowledge and make a maths game about different strategy's we did this term. So I decided to make a basic facts maths game so more people can get fluent with there basic facts. It was hard making a maths game because we had to link the right stuff to each other. So after I finished my game I added characters that I made and made it into a GIF. Then we would put it on the correct answer slide or the wrong answer slides. After that I let a few people play my game but my feedback was that my questions were to hard if you want to make people fluent with there basic facts. I didn't get time to fix it. Then we presented our maths games to the whole class and I also got the same feed back so I fixed my maths game and made it better. I felt such a relief to finally finish my game 

Lattice method and Japanese method

LI: To develop the Japanese and Chinese method for multiplication outside the basic facts.

This week for maths we had to make a DLO explaining the maths method we have learned. Using these methods makes your time table easy. But you still need to know your time tables for these methods. I'd prefer using the lattice method if your racing someone on there time tables and you can use the Japanese one when your not in a race or a contest. The lattice method and the Japanese method might be hard at first but when you keep practising it your get better at it.

What did you learn? This activity helped me understand what time tables are because it showed me that they are groups.

How did you learn By using a pixel art paper and add a  Square and a Rectangle then you count the width and height of the square or rectangle then you times the number you counted and write it down on your math book and answer your time table.
